Name of the Scholarship:

Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship

Amount of the ETVFD Scholarship:

A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded each year. (If qualified applicants apply)

A maximum of $3,000 will be awarded to eligible applicants.

**Scholarship amounts determined by the ETVFD Scholarship Committee (Max is $500 per applicant)

ETVFD Scholarship Purpose:

The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department (ETVFD) Scholarship Program is intended to stimulate the junior firefighters and senior firefighters of the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department to strive to achieve academic and firefighting excellence.  The program is also intended to recruit and retain interested students into the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department.

ETVFD Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

• High School Senior OR College Student

• Must be a member of the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department for a minimum of six months prior to the awarding of the scholarship.  (Scholarship awarded at the Annual ETVFD Scholarship and Recognition Banquet held in 2026)
• Applicants must enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study no later than the fall term of the 2026-2027 school year at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational school.

How ETVFD Scholarship Recipient(s) is/are Chosen:

The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship recipient(s) is/are selected by the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief, the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Junior Advisor, and the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Banquet Committee.  The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship recipient will be based on:

• Involvement and dedication to the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department.
• Volunteer Leadership (Awards and Honors)
• Essay on Volunteer Service
• Grade Point Average of 2.0 or Higher / Percentage of 70% or Higher (C Average)
• Completed ETVFD Scholarship Application (DUE BY MARCH 15, 2026)

If you are selected to receive the ETVFD Scholarship:

• You will be notified at the Annual ETVFD Scholarship and Recognition Banquet.

You will be given a check after notification of acceptance to an accredited college, university, or vocational school. (August 2026)
