Tuesday night kept Exeter Township Fire Department members very busy, starting with our weekly training that focused this time on hydrant operations. During training, the ETFD were called to help rescue a kitten stuck in storm drain on Pennsylvania Avenue. The kitten was successfully rescued and given to those who called about it. Crews were later dispatched at 11:15 p.m. to a garage fire on the 1400 block of Claire Drive. First arriving responders were met with heavy fire and smoke, which they quickly extinguished. Crews on scene were released after about an hour and a half. Thanks to our mutual aid partners who supported us on this call.
