The ETVFD brought on several new members in the last twelve months. Those members are working on obtaining the national firefighter certification through training at the Berks Fire Training Center.

This weekend, one of the sessions was about forcible entry. Students were shown ways to gain leverage and learn where the weaker spots are in doors and door frames to make gaining access easier. When completed, between weekends and weeknights these people will have attended almost 200 hours of class.
