Exeter Township Fire Department crews and automatic aid companies were dispatched to Ptarmigan Drive in Exeter Township for a reported structure fire Monday afternoon. Deputy 25-2 arrived on location and confirmed a working fire and assumed command. Rescue Engine 25 and Tower 25 arrived on scene and went into service with an aggressive fire attack. Deputy 25-1 took interior operations with a crew from Reading Fire Department Engine 5. Crews contained the fire to the exterior with minimal extension to the attic area. Crews also located and removed one cat from the residence.

The Exeter Township Fire Department takes pride in doing its best to provide 24/7/365 in-house staffing to help provide our residents a faster and more efficient emergency response. The quick and aggressive response by our crews helped prevent much more significant damage to this home. Great work to all crews on scene!
