ETVFD was dispatched along with mutual aid from the surrounding area for the report of a home on fire in the Lincolnwood Home Community just before 5:00am Wednesday morning. First arriving Deputy Chief had fire on the outside of a home and upgraded the response for the incident in case it were to spread to the inside of the home.

A crew of four members, who were staffing the two township stations overnight arrived within six minutes of dispatch. They made quick work extinguishing the fire. Modern homes contain materials that more that double the size of a fire every minute. If these members would have responded from home to the station to get the fire apparatus this would have been three to five minutes longer and potentially a different outcome for the family who lives here. Nineteen total members responded from ETVFD and all cleared the scene in just over half an hour.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Exeter Township Fire Marshal.
