The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department (ETVFD) is pleased to announce the delivery of the new Brush 25, our new 2023 Jeep Wrangler (JL) 2-door Rubicon.

The ETVFD Apparatus committee has worked diligently to design an almost direct replacement for our 1974 Jeep CJ-5, which has served the Reiffton Fire Company and the ETVFD for the last 50 years.

The purchase of this Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was made possible with the help of New Holland Auto Group and Marco Equipment Sales, LLC. It has the standard Rubicon features, such as front and rear locking differentials, but a custom skid unit that was designed and built into the rear cargo area. The skid has a 70-gallon water tank and 500' of forestry hose lines, along with miscellaneous tools.

Our new Jeep will give us the highest level of off-road capability while still providing a safe and modern vehicle for transporting personnel to wildland responses.

The ETVFD looks forward to utilizing Brush 25 for wildland fires in Exeter Township, St. Lawrence Borough, and our neighboring municipalities for many years to come. Crews have already begun the training process, and the plan is to have the new Jeep in service around the first week of April 2024.
