Just after 16:00 hours, Company 25 was dispatched on the 2nd Alarm assignment to assist the Oley Fire Company (Company 5) on a working structure fire with possible entrapment. Engine / Tanker 25-1, Rescue 25, and Tower 25 immediately went responding. Engine / Tanker 25-1 arrived on the scene from the East Station and was put in place for water supply operations and CAFS operations. Rescue 25 and Tower 25 made great time to the fire scene out of the West Station and the crews were put to work immediately. While the duty crews responded to the fire, crews were in place at the East and West Station to cover Exeter Township and St. Lawrence Borough. Company 23, 42, and 64 were also placed on stand-by in the West Station to supplement the members that remained back.
While on the scene crews were put to work performing vertical ventilation operations on the roof and performing interior fire attack operations. Chief 25 was on scene to oversee the company 25 crews. Crews worked well together under extreme weather conditions with the excessive temperatures. Thanks to Chief 5, Deputy 5, and Oley Officers for their support and confidence in the ETVFD crews.
