Between responding to over a dozen calls and providing support for the annual World War II Weekend event, it was a busy couple of days for the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department. On Friday, an ETVFD crew staffed Rescue Engine 25 to cover Bern Township for the kick off of the World War II Weekend. Members provided additional staffing at the event on Saturday and Sunday. Crews responded to a hazmat with symptoms call at Fairlane Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation of Reading on Saturday morning. Members assisted with the orderly evacuation of residents and worked to help identify the source of the issue. On Sunday afternoon, ETVFD responded to a multi-vehicle crash with reported entrapment at Perkiomen Avenue and Sunset Manor Drive. Thank you to all members who staffed apparatus, supported community events and responded to emergencies throughout the weekend.
