Today, the ETFD was requested for Marine 25 by FC 34 (S. Brady) to assist Co. 42 (Cumru) with removing a small boat from the Schuylkill River in the area of Popler Neck Rd. Crews did not utilize Marine 25 as the water level was low enough to walk across.

Co. 25 along with other Companies in Zone 5/6 have created a Water Task Force to deal with these and other types water related incidents. Any interested companies in the County that are currently involved with water operations or may be interested are urged to attend a County-wide meeting at the Berks County Fire Training site on Wednesday, August 18 at 7:00PM This is an informal meeting to open the lines of communications between companies that share an interest in water operations.
