ETFD Crews Extinguish Dryer Fire

The ETFD and mutual aid companies were dispatched for a structure fire on the 5400 block of Perkiomen Avenue in Shelbourne Square Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, Deputy 25 reported there to be active fire in a dryer unit. Rescue Engine 25 arrived and deployed a hand line. Crews were on location for approximately one hour before going available. The Exeter Township Fire Department was dispatched Tuesday morning to the 2600 block of Perkiomen Ave in Mt Penn Borough for a reported structure fire. The on-duty crew responded and arrived to find smoke showing from the structure. Crews went in service and located a kitchen fire with some extension into other areas of the residence. Crews Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash with Fire and Entrapment

Exeter Township Fire Department crews were dispatched Tuesday night for a two-vehicle crash with fire and entrapment on East Baumstown Road (Route 422 Eastbound) at South Center Road. Crews arriving were met with heavy fire from one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Tuesday night kept Exeter Township Fire Department members very busy, starting with our weekly training that focused this time on hydrant operations. During training, the ETFD were called to help rescue a kitten stuck in storm drain on Pennsylvania Avenue. The kitten was successfully rescued and given to those who called about it. ECEF Ball Drop at the Reading Country Club

This past Friday, Tower 25 made its way to the Reading Country Club to set up and assist the Exeter Community Education Foundation with the golf ball drop that is a part of their annual golf outing. Water Rescue Shift Training
